The Halloween Festival was celebrated in Yunnan Wildlife Zoo where pumpkin lanterns, straw dolls and other toys were hung up for the animals.

In the life of Yunnan people, the lantern opera and nostalgia are closely related. For common people, lantern opera represent a collective memory, even a “language”. Kunming lantern opera, as one of the main branches of Yunnan lantern opera, which enjoys wide grass root popularity, has a very important position in the history of the latter, and it is also a way to spread the traditional culture of the ‘spring city’ of Kunming. Qujing lantern opera, which are close to people’s lives, have become an indispensable way of life for the local people. Qujing lantern opera has changed in the course of historical change, but what has never changed is that it is still deeply rooted in the grass-roots. In 2000, Midu County was awarded “Town of Chinese Folk Culture and Art”. In 2008, Miadu lantern opera was listed in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritages. The lantern opera of the Yi people in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture carries the cultural genes in this region, and are loved by both Yi and Han peoples.
The late Premier Zhou Enlai once praised that Yunnan lantern opera as a beautiful 'camellias' of Yunnan. In 2008, Yunnan lantern opera was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
从地图上看，高黎贡山是一个遥远而庞大的所在。它源起于西藏高原南部察隅一带，沿云南西北怒江州境一路南下，绵延600多公里，屏立于滇西纵谷区怒江、龙川江两大激流深谷之间。
独特的地理条件造就了高黎贡山独具特色的地质地貌：火山、地热、湿地、雨林等等。山脚下的人们，把高黎贡山的这份馈赠融入生活。在腾冲市区，房屋建筑是用火山石盖的，家家户户的生活用具很多也是用火山石制成，火山石在这里被赋予新的生命与活力。
高黎贡山自然保护区内常年生活着一群来去自如、功夫了得的“白眉大侠”，它们就是东白眉长臂猿。而云猫、高黎贡羚牛、猕猴、黄麂、野猪、短尾猴等等，也都是高黎贡山的老住户。
1904年，英国植物学家乔治·福雷斯特来到云南，深深地被云南壮丽的山川和丰富的生物资源所吸引，以腾冲为基地，开始了对云南尤其是高黎贡山的动植物的系统调查。100多年后，被乔治·福雷斯特发现的那株大树杜鹃王虽已“不见踪迹”，但大树杜鹃花海依旧灿烂。

In a wooden house in traditional style, a few young people of Yi ethnic group sat around a fire, singing about their daily life in antiphonal style. The smile on their tanned faces seemed to be particularly bright while lit by the glow of fire. Trying to integrate into the life of the locals, we found out the charm of authentic Yi culture in Baiqiao Village of Fuheng Countryside in Yangbi County.
古色古香的木楞房中，三五彝家青年围坐火塘边，以对歌的形式讲述着农家生活的喜怒哀乐，暖黄色的火光印在黝黑的脸庞上，他们笑容格外灿烂。试着去融入当地人的生活，我们在漾濞县富恒乡白荞村探寻到了原汁原味的彝族文化魅力。

Tao Yuanming intoned, “While picking asters ‘neath the Eastern fence, my gaze upon the Southern mountain rests”, while Wang Wei described, “Birds tweet; wheat seedlings grow well; and silkworms fall sleep after a dainty repast.” Throughout history, urban residents who have been stuck in office cubes have a deep longing for the idyllic life.
Eshan is the first Yi autonomous county established in the People’s Republic of China. In Eshan, there are more than 500 natural villages, which are located among rolling and magnificent mountains and near streams. In these villages, there are houses with white walls and black tiles or which are led to by winding paths. The villages are standing there quietly, presenting a peaceful picture. Visiting Eshan, you can experience the idyllic life, notably farming on sunny days and reading on rainy days. Or you can appreciate the vicissitudes of history and the ancient charm. Here, Eshan remains secluded and pristine.
从陶渊明的“采菊东篱下，悠然见南山”，到王维的“雉雊麦苗秀，蚕眠桑叶稀”，自古至今，悠然的田园生活让每一位久困在格子间的都市人心驰神往。
峨山，新中国的第一个彝族自治县。全县有五百多个自然村，它们或青山如黛，绵延起伏，田园村舍，绿韵流淌；或粉墙黛瓦，曲径通幽，淡然从容，岁月静好……来峨山，感受田园牧歌、晴耕雨读，体味历史沧桑、古韵悠然，这里尚未喧嚣，青涩正好。

The original taste of tea is natural, and the tea sets determines the interest of making a pot of tea. Different from the production process of Four Famous Chinese Pottery, Zhaotong purple stone teapot is non-pottery, that is based on the purple sand of the natural raw stone, and directly processed by the craftsmen, which brings a special charm of the tea.
茶本天然，茶器的品味很大程度决定了泡茶的意趣。与中国“四大名陶”制作工艺有别，非陶制，依据紫砂天然原石材，由匠人直接加工雕琢而成的昭通紫砂石壶带来的饮茶魅力有些特别。

Six years ago when most Kunming locals could not differentiate rugby and football, nor did they know the specific gameplay and rules of this sport very well, an international rugby team already crept into Kunming. In all weathers, there is always a weekly gathering of the rugby team on the court at the Affiliated High School of Peking University Yunnan Experimental School for either training or communicating.

Jianshui, known as Lin’an in the ancient times, is not only a place with historic interest and culture, but also one of the most famous places of food in southern Yunnan.
