Fuxian Lake has a history of about 3.4 million years. The ecoregion of the lake has reserved a special stratum which exists for 500 million years.
As the largest deep freshwater lake in China and the largest lake at the headwaters of the Pearl River, Fuxian Lake is as large as 12 Dian Lakes, six Erhai Lakes or 4.5 Taihu Lakes. The largest transparency reading of Fuxian Lake can reach 12.5 meters. Therefore the lake is known as one of China’s inland freshwater sea with the best water quality and the best lake in Yunnan Province. Its water is categorized as Grade 1 of the direct potable water.
The ancient underwater city at the bottom of Fuxian Lake once surprised the world. It is inferred that the city was the settlement of the ancient Dian Kingdom and the important evidence for the rise and decline of the Kingdom. Some people guess that the world civilization was originated from the city which can change the place of China in the history of world civilization.
The Chengjiang Fossil Site completely preserves a group of paleontological fossils from the Cambrian age. As the only World Natural Heritage related to fossils in China, the site vividly shows the magnificence of marine life which exsited 530 million years ago and the original features of living animals.
抚仙湖的形成约有340万年，抚仙湖流域则为地球保存了一套已经有5亿年历史的特殊地层。
作为中国最大的深水型淡水湖泊、珠江源头第一大湖，抚仙湖的水容量相当于12个滇池、6个洱海、4.5个太湖。湖水透明度最大可达12.5米，为我国内陆淡水湖中水质最好的湖泊之一，属于可直接饮用的1类水，居云南省湖泊之最。
水下古城的发现，是抚仙湖带给世界的一个未知惊喜。有人推测，它是古滇聚落群，为古滇国兴衰之谜提供重要依据；也有人猜测，它是世界文明的起源地，可颠覆中国在世界文明史上的排名。
澄江生物群是目前保存极其完整的寒武纪早期古生物化石群。它生动如实地再现了5.3亿年前海洋生命的壮丽景观和现生动物的原始特征，是中国唯一的化石类世界自然遗产。

As a gathering place of the Bai ethnic group’s culture, Shilong Village of Jianchuan County has long enjoyed a good reputation for its Bai ditties, overlord-whip dance and the local plays. Overlord-whip dance, in particular, is participated by women, old and young, in public courtyard of Shilong Village office at nightfall during the last month of the lunar year. They line up in queues and dance to the rhythms of music with a bamboo whip in their hands, tapping their shoulders, elbows, waists and legs with it alternately, making a crispy sound of “cha-cha”, likening the sanxian, a three-string banjo instrument.
剑川县石龙村是白族文化的聚集地，这里的白族调、霸王鞭舞和乡戏等久负盛名。尤其是霸王鞭舞，腊月里的傍晚时分，在石龙村村公所的场院里，女人们或老或少，排列成队地伴随着音乐的节奏翩翩起舞。她们手中的竹鞭似流星闪动，忽而击于肩肘，忽而击于腰腿，并发出清脆的“恰恰”声，欢快时如三弦音颤，显得舒展优美、落落大方。

With nearly 100 Chinese passengers on three buses entered into the Old Street of Vietnam through the Nanxi—Hekou port, the irregular international passenger transport line from Gejiu, Yunnan, China to Sabah, Lao Cai, Vietnam was officially put into operation on July 20, 2018.
As the first international passenger transport route between Yunnan and Vietnam, the route is operated by Yunnan Travel Automobile Co., Ltd., which linked Gejiu City, Mengzi City, Pingbian County, Hekou County of China with Lao Cai and Sabah County of Vietnam. After the route starts operation, individual tourists, tour groups and business tourists from China and Vietnam as well as other countries are feeling free to travel between the two countries by buses along the Yunnan-Vietnam Golden View Route to start a romantic cross-border journey.
7月20日，随着3辆搭载近百名中国旅客的大巴通过南溪河口岸进入越南老街，中国云南个旧——越南老街沙巴的不定期国际旅客运输线路正式开通。
作为中国云南与越南之间首条国际旅客运输线路，该线路由云南旅游汽车有限公司运营，一路串连云南省个旧市、蒙自市、屏边县、河口县及越南老街省老街市、沙巴县。线路开通后，中越两国及第三国的旅游团、自由行游客和商务游客可乘坐大巴车沿滇越黄金观景线穿梭在两国之间，开启一段浪漫的跨国之旅。

We saw Zhang Wei after walking more than 100 meters along the stone-paved coppersmith Road in Huize County. As a crafter of variegated copper ware, his story is often reported on the newspapers. Among all the metallic handiworks, variegated copper ware are special for the use of pig copper and the process of manual hammering. Zhang Wei, born in 1988, needs to swing a hammer thousand times for each piece of variegated copper ware.
沿着会泽县城铜匠街光溜溜的青石板路走进一百来米，我们见到了张玮。作为斑铜传承人，张玮的斑铜技艺时常见诸报端。在金属工艺中，只有斑铜中的生斑必须使用天然铜，靠纯手工锻打成型。1988年生的张玮，在每一件生斑作品见世之前，需要重复敲打上万次。
