The 1st Rice Fish (fishes raised in paddy fields) Rural Tourism Cultural Festival kicked off in Xijiekou Town, Shilin Yi Autonomous County. Besides fishing by hand and by fishing pole, ginseng fruit were also served for tasting.

The 1st Daguan International Customs Festival was held in Daguan Park. More than 40 professional performance teams from seven countries including Russia, France, Spain, the United Kingdom and so on performed dances and street arts.

霞客滇游记

Xu Xiake is honored as a distinguished traveler and geographer and a great patriot of the Ming Dynasty. In 1638 (the 11th year during the reign of Emperor Chongzhen), Xu Xiake started his thousand-mile expedition and arrived in Yunnan which, according to the records written in Xu Xiake in Yunnan by Mr. Zhu Huirong, President of Yunnan Xu Xiake Research Institute, was the last destination of Xu Xiake’s travel and geographical survey and almost became his second hometown since Yunnan had accommodated him the longest among his travel life, only next to his birthplace.

徐霞客，中国明代杰出的旅行家和地理学家，伟大的爱国主义者。明崇祯十一年（公元1638 年），徐霞客“万里遐征”来到云南。云南徐霞客研究会会长朱惠荣先生所著《徐霞客在云南》一书记录，云南是徐霞客一生旅游和地理考察的终点，是徐霞客在家乡以外生活时间最长的省份。

Renanthera imschootiana:"Panda" in orchids

Du Fan, botanist and professor of Southwest Foresty University dispiritedly believed that Renanthera had extincted in the wild before he saw Renanthera imschootiana by accident in 2014. But though Du discovered the living Renanthera in the open, he still felt restless since Renanthera is so few that they were just found in two arbors and less than ten living Renantheras in total. As it is so rare, Du and his collegues are not willing to pick even one as sample.

在2014 年偶然看到云南火焰兰之前，植物学家、西南林业大学教授杜凡曾灰心地以为这种植物已经野外灭绝了。但即便在发现了它的野生活体时，杜凡教授依然觉得内心不安。云南火焰兰现存植株太少，仅在两棵乔木上被发现，所有活体加起来不到10 株。这种珍稀的兰科植物，让杜凡教授和同事甚至不舍得采集一株标本。

Guangnan is the place to see the most beautiful peach garden and to seek the serenest unrequited love.

人们常用“人间仙境、世外桃源”来形容一个地方美不胜收，人们也常用“除却巫山不是云”表达自己对一个地方或是对一个人的眷恋。来到广南，遇见最美的桃花源，找到了最静默不语的暗恋。

Old trademarks of Yunnan cans

云南罐头老商标

Cans not only seal the conditions of food, those made during the

period of the Republic of China (1912-1949) also led a school of realist

art. Specific time of introduction of cans to Yunnan is not traceable, but

food cans as the most epitomized form of products turned out to be

the most successful in the food industry in Yunnan. Yunnan Provincial

Archives has collected several sets of can trademarks with rich coloring

or delicate patterns, and distinctive historical appeal.

罐头不仅封存了食物的一种生命状态，民国时期的罐头商标还引领了一场写实派艺术。罐头是最具代表性的食品工业产品，具体何时传入云南已不可考，但罐头业却是民国时期云南最成功的食品产业。云南省档案馆馆藏有几组罐头商标，或色彩艳丽，或笔触细腻，别有历史韵味。

她写下遗愿清单，从瑞典来到云南

In August 2016, art exhibition of “Artists Roles/Artists Rules” was officially launched in Studio 44, Stockholm, Sweden. On September 9 of this year, Exchange Exhibition of Contemporary Art was held in TCG Nordica Cultural Center, Kunming, Yunnan Province. Eight artists from China and Sweden have brought different forms of artistic works to boost art and culture exchanges for the event.

“艺术家的角色与规则”艺术展于2016 年8 月在瑞典斯德哥尔摩Studio44 画廊正式启动，今年9月9 日，中国 · 瑞典当代艺术交流展在昆明TCG诺地卡文化中心进行，来自中国和瑞典的八位艺术家分别带来了不同形式的艺术文化交流活动。

The heating of the stoves were fairly high. Chicken, pork and fish were cooked within two hours. Fried wild veggies made by Hani women were also done. After the dishes were put in the plates,women began to sing. Chicken congee, pork congee, roasted pork, roasted fish, raw pork blood…were served on the table with the melodious songs.

寨子里的炉火很旺，大概两个小时，鸡肉、猪肉、鱼肉都熟了，哈尼族媳妇们准备的各种炒野菜也起锅了。装盘上菜，妇女们扯开嗓子唱了起来，鸡肉稀饭、猪肉稀饭、烤猪肉、烤鱼、生血旺……一道道精心烹饪的美食就这样伴着歌声上桌了。
