Tashkurgan Tajik Introduction: Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County (referred to as Ta County) is a county containing the Kashgar region of Xinjiang, established in 1954. Tashkurgan, in the Uighur language, means "stone city", named after the ancient stone castle in the north of the city. In 2013, Ta County achieved a regional production value of 82.206 million yuan. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 110.04 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 419.53 million yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 29,249 yuan. Ta County is located in the western part of the Pamirs, 298 kilometers away from Kashgar. The connection with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan is the main international channel for the east and west of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
