Chongqing, referred to as Baheyi, is not called Shancheng, Yidu, Qiaodu, and Wudu, and is the central municipality directly under the Central Government of the People's Republic of China. Chongqing is known as the Jialing River in ancient times, so Chongqing is abbreviated as YU. In the first year of Chongning in the Northern Song Dynasty (1102), the state was changed to Gongzhou. In the first month of the 16th year of the Southern Song Dynasty (1189), Zhao Zi, the son of Xiaozong, first sealed the king of Gong. In February, he was the emperor of Song Guangzong, known as the “double celebration”. He was promoted to Chongqing Prefecture, and Chongqing was named after it. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the government of the Republic of China decided that Chongqing was the capital of the war and the permanent capital. The Republic was the resident of the Southwest Region and the central municipality.
