Introduction to Binchuan: One of the counties in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, Binchuan County, is on the edge of the Yunling Hengduan Mountains, southwest of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau on the southern bank of the Jinsha River. The main mountain ranges, dams and rivers in the territory are mostly north-south. The terrain is high and the middle is low. There are four water systems in the Naxi River, Pingchuan River, Qingshui River and Duobei River. The Naxi River is the largest and runs through the central dam area of Binchuan. Its tributary water is the most in the Rongdong River. As of the end of 2010, there were 351,194 people in Binchuan County. Binchuan is a multi-ethnic county with Han nationality as the main ethnic group. There is a national AAAA-level scenic spot in Jizu Mountain.
