Fangxian County: Fangxian County, located in the northwest of Hubei Province, south of Shiyan City, east of Baokang, Gucheng County, northeast of Danjiangkou City, south of Shennongjia Forest District, west adjacent to Zhushan County. Fangxian was called "Fangling" in ancient times, and it was named after "longitudinal and long-distance, four forests, four high-rises, and houses." There are cultural sites in the Paleolithic Age and the Neolithic Age, which is one of the birthplaces of Chu culture. It is the famous "hometown of fungus" and "hometown of rice wine". As of 2012, Fangxian County has 12 towns, 7 townships, 1 state-owned forest farm, a total land area of 5,110 square kilometers, a population of 488,000, and a national poverty-stricken county.
