Introduction to Jianzha: Jianzha County is in the southeast of Qinghai Province, north of Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Most of the northeastern part of Jianzha County is bordered by Hualong County with the Yellow River as the boundary. It connects with Xunhua County in the southeast, connects with Guide County in the west, and is close to Tongren County in the south. The county is about 87 kilometers long from north to south, about 48 kilometers from east to west, and 1714 square kilometers. As of 2011, there were 54,300 people, including 40,000 ethnic minorities and 62% of Tibetans. The county governs 3 towns and 6 townships. The deep religious culture of Jianzha County is the birthplace of Tibetan Buddhism. The Kumbra National Geological Park is famous for its “Danxia” scenery composed of red gravel. There are Nanzong Temple, Nun Temple and Nan Zongza Temple. The Great Temple is the only religious and legal place in Qinghai Province where the shackles, secrets, and Nepal coexist. It is an important tourist attraction after Qinghai Province, after the Ta'er Temple and Qinghai Lake. It is a Chinese rowing and canoeing plateau water training base and the only “hometown of Chinese national archery”.
