Introduction to Menyuan: Menyuan Hui Autonomous County is under the jurisdiction of Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the northeastern part of Qinghai Province of China. It is adjacent to the eastern part of Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and adjacent to Gansu Province in the east and north. It is 150 kilometers away from the provincial capital Xining and 250 kilometers away from Haicang County, Haibei Prefecture. 6,896 square kilometers. In 1929, it was established in Menyuan County. In 1953, the Menyuan Hui Autonomous Region was established. In 1955, the Menyuan Hui Autonomous County was renamed. In 2013, the source GDP of the Menyuan Hui Autonomous County reached 292 million yuan. The ethnic group is mainly Hui people, accounting for about 40%, as well as Han, Tibet, Tu, Mongolia, and Sarah. 15.58 million people (2013). Menyuan County was originally called "亹源" (亹, mén), because the word "亹" was too complicated to write, and later unified into a homophone "door."
