Introduction to Suichang: Suchang County (tàn chāng) belongs to Weinan City, Gansu Province; the local monks of Suichang established the “Yichang State” during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and Suichang was the name of the leader of the Yi tribe. It is located in the south of Gansu Province and the northwest of Weinan City. It is connected with Li County in the east, Zhouqu County and Diebu County in Gannan Prefecture, and Wudu District in the south, and Lixian County in Dingxi City in the north. 3,331 square kilometers, the county governs 6 towns and 336 villages in 19 townships, with a permanent residence of 274,313 (2010).
