Introduction to Daixi: Luxi County is a county in Dingxi City, named after the west of Lushan Mountain. Luxi County is in the western part of the Loess Plateau, in the upper reaches of the Weihe River. It is connected to Tongyu County in the east, adjacent to Jixian County and Wushan County in the south, adjacent to Wuyuan County in the west, and connected to Anding District in the north. In the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qianxi County was the capital of Gansu Province and a political, economic, military, and cultural center. In 2013, Qianxi County achieved a GDP of 5.29 billion yuan. Agriculture is dominated by Chinese herbal medicines, potatoes, broth, and livestock; the industry is dominated by traditional Chinese medicine processing, aluminum smelting and products and equipment manufacturing. As of 2013, the size of Qianxi County was 2,408 square kilometers, including 9 towns and 8 townships; 513,200 people.
