Introduction to Lahu: Lahu County is located in the southwest of the Tibet Autonomous Region, in the central part of Shigatse City, and in the westernmost part of Nyainqentanglha Mountain. It is connected to Sakya County in the east, Dingri County in the southwest, Anren County in the west, and Xietongmen County in the north. The county is located 150 kilometers from Shigatse in the east and 276 kilometers from Shigatse to Lhasa. The county is about 69 kilometers long from east to west, 98 kilometers wide from north to south, and 4,505 square kilometers. Lahu County consists of 9 townships and 2 towns (105 natural villages) with 52,616 people (as of 2011).
