About Jiulongpo: Jiulongpo District is an important part of the Chongqing Yuzhong Peninsula surrounded by the Yangtze River and the Jialing River in the west of Chongqing's main city. Jiulongpo District is connected to Yuzhong District, Shapingba District, Dadukou District, Laoshan District and Jiangjin District, and faces Nan'an District and Banan District across the river. The area is 36.12 kilometers long from north to south, 30.4 kilometers wide from east to west, and covers an area of 431.86 square kilometers. As of 2010, the number of permanent residents in Jiulongpo District was 1.0844 million. By the end of 2013, Jiulongpo District had jurisdiction over 8 streets and 11 towns.
