About Pingnan: Pingnan is an inland mountainous county, connected to Ningde City in the southeast, Zhouning County in the northeast, Zhenghe County in the north, Jianye County in the northwest and Jiantian County in the west, and Gutian County in the southwest to the south. The whole country is 54 kilometers wide from east to west, 50 kilometers long from north to south, and is about 1470.67 square kilometers. Pingnan was originally in Gutian County. In the thirteenth year of the Qing Emperor Yongzheng (1735), the 13 counties of the northeastern part of Gutian County were moved to the wind, the new customs and the Hengxili. The county governed Shuangxi was in the south of Cuiping Mountain, so Emperor Yongzheng gave it the name "Pingnan". After Pingnan County was established, it belonged to Fuzhou Prefecture. In 1971, the former Fu'an Special Administrative Department moved to Ningde, and was renamed Ningde District, Pingnan County. Most of the areas in Pingnan County are over 800 meters above sea level, with more than 300 peaks and 265 peaks above the peak. The east peak of Lingxia Township is 1,627 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in the country. There are 186 large and small streams with a drainage area of more than 60 square kilometers. There are 7 main streams and an average annual runoff of 1.75 billion cubic meters. The mineral resources known in the county mainly include lead and zinc, iron, copper and zinc, sulfur, manganese, kaolin, magnesium, granite, and rare earth. Pingnan has a mid-subtropical maritime monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, no cold in winter and no heat in summer.
