Tongde Introduction: Tongde County is located in the southeast of Qinghai Province, at the junction of Hainan, Huangnan and Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures. It belongs to Hainan Prefecture People's Government. The provincial highway Xijiu Highway runs through the whole territory from north to south. The Yellow River runs from the east to the west with a semi-circle around the county for half a week. The county seat of Bazaosuo is 3,060 meters above sea level, 256 kilometers away from Chabucha Town, and 282 kilometers away from Xining City, the provincial capital. The county has a permanent residence of about 9,000 people. The climate is a typical plateau continental climate. The highest altitude in the county is 4671 meters, the lowest altitude is 2648 meters, the average elevation is 3660 meters, the annual average temperature is 0.4°C-0.6°C, the average annual precipitation is 440mm, and there is no absolute frost-free period. The county has 4,758 square kilometers. There are 73 villages with 2 towns, 3 townships, and 61,000 people in 2009. They live in Han, Tibetan, Hui, Mongolian, Tu, Sala and other ethnic groups, and Tibetans account for 90.3%. In 2004, Tongde County was included in the Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve by the state, involving 2,886 households with 25,900 people in 25 villages of 3 townships, with a planned population of 3,174,400 mu, accounting for 56% of the grassland.
