Introduction to Songtao: Songtao Miao Autonomous County (referred to as Songtao County), Tongren County, Guizhou Province. Established in 1956, it is one of the earliest autonomous counties approved by the State Council and the largest county in Tongren City. In ancient times, "the ground was connected to Chuan Chu, and the place was to suppress Sanxiang." The rapid development of Songtao's economy is the fastest, best and strongest county in Tongren. Songtao is located in the main peak of the Wuling Mountain Range, Fanjing Mountain, in the junction of the two provinces of Fujian, Hunan and Jiangxi. It is connected with the flower garden and the phoenix of Hunan. It is connected with the Fuyang and Xiushan of Chongqing. The location is moderate and the transportation is convenient. It is called "the gateway to the east." The county's territory is 3,409 square kilometers. There are 509 village (residential) committees in 28 towns and villages with a population of 780,000 (2013). Among them, ethnic minorities with Miao nationality account for 68.1% of the county's population. It is a typical minority autonomous county.
