About Gangnan: Gangnan District is a district of Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was a county-level district established after the establishment of the prefecture-level Guigang City in 1996. It is on the banks of the Yujiang River in the Xijiang River Basin of the Golden Waterway, southeast of Guigang City, south bank of Yujiang River, and east of Xingye County. Pubei County, west of Hengxian County, north of Gangbei District, Guiping City. In the Gangnan area, there are Lizhan Railway Double Line and National Highway 324, Nanning-Guangzhou Expressway running through the whole territory. The golden waterway Xijiang flows through 4 townships in the district. It can pass thousands-ton freighters all the year round. The direct access to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao is an important traffic in Guangxi. An important channel for the export of hubs and large southwestern materials. By the end of 2010, Gangnan District was 1089 square kilometers. It consists of 6 towns, 2 townships and 1 street, 165 village committees with a population of 635,600.
