New Taipei City is a city in northern Taiwan and the most populous city in Taiwan. It is located at the northernmost tip of Taiwan's main island, surrounded by Taipei City, adjacent to Keelung City in the northeast, adjacent to Yilan County in the southeast, and adjacent to Taoyuan County in the southwest. The city surrounds Taipei and Keelung City, and the three together form the Greater Taipei metropolitan area, which belongs to the common living circle and affects neighboring Taoyuan County and Yilan County. The city has a land area of 2,052 square kilometers, accounting for 6% of Taiwan's total area and a coastline of 120 kilometers. The terrain is rich and varied, with mountains, hills, terraces and basins. Except for the small rivers on the north coast that are independent of the sea, a small part of the southeastern part of the city belongs to the Lanyang River Basin, and the rest belongs to the Danshui River Basin. The main tributaries are Keelung River, Xindian River, Jingmei River, North Shixi River and the south. Xiangxi, Zizixi, Three Gorges, Dahanxi, etc., the size and tributaries are intertwined, forming a beautiful and pleasant geographical environment.
