Introduction to Altay: Altay was a pastoral residence of ethnic minorities in ancient times. According to historical records, the tribes that lived here in the Qin Dynasty were from the Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province. Since the Western Han Dynasty, the central government has set up administrative agencies here. "Altay" is a Turkic language, meaning "Golden Mountain". It is named after the gold in the mountains. There are "72 gullies in the Altai Mountains and gold in the ditch". The Irtysh River in Altay is the only river in China that has been injected into the Arctic Ocean. In the sea area of ​​Brento in Fuhai County, it reaches 100,000 hectares and is rich in more than 10 kinds of fish. It is known as the “Northern Fishing Town”. The mountains and rivers of the Altay region are magnificent and have a natural scenery with special features. The main scenic spots include the Kanas Lake Natural Landscape Reserve, the Burgen River Beaver Nature Reserve and the Butterfly Ditch.
