Yutian Introduction: Yutian County contains counties for the Hetian area of Xinjiang. It was placed in Jixian County and named after the ancient country of the Han Dynasty. In 1959, it was simplified to Yutian County. Yutian County is in the southwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It borders on Minfeng County in the east, the Taklimakan Desert in the north, and the Shaya County. It is close to the Cele County in the west and the Reformed County and the Japanese County in the Tibet Autonomous Region. From 2006 to 2010, the total production value of Yutian County totaled 4.415 billion yuan, which was 1.87 times of the total output value from 2001 to 2005. As of 2010, Yutian County has a total area of 39,500 square kilometers, including 2 towns and 13 townships; it has 224,800 people, including Victoria, Han, Hui, Ha, Ke, Man and other ethnic groups. The famous specialty products in Yutian County are mainly licorice, big glutinous rice, red dates, etc.; the scenic spots mainly include the karstak ruins, the Karadun ruins, and the Daliyaboyi.
