Introduction to Shuimogou: Shuimogou District belongs to Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is one of the four central districts of Urumqi in the northeast of Urumqi. It is located in the southern margin of the Junggar Basin, north of the western end of the Bogda Peak in the Tianshan Mountains. The current district is bordered by the Tianshan District with the Hongshan Road as the boundary, the southeast is connected to the Osaka City, and the west is bounded by the River Beach Expressway and the Shayibak District. The new urban area is adjacent, and the north and east are connected to the Midong area. In 2011, the district was 277.56 square kilometers, with a population of 410,000. The district governed 8 streets, 69 communities and 6 villages. In 2011, the region achieved a gross domestic product (GDP) of 11.363 billion yuan, calculated at comparable prices, an increase of 15% over 2010.
