Introduction to Zhongning: Zhongning County is in the central part of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the southern end of Ningxia Plain. It is under the jurisdiction of Zhongwei City. On the banks of the Yellow River, it is the transition zone between the Inner Mongolia Plateau and the Loess Plateau, and belongs to the northern temperate continental monsoon climate zone. It is adjacent to Litong District and Qingtongxia City in the east, Zhongwei District in the west, Tongxin County in the south, and Alashan Zuoqi in Inner Mongolia in the north. The county is about 50 kilometers wide from east to west and 60 kilometers from north to south, reaching 4226.5 square kilometers and 336,100 people. (year 2013). The government is in Ning'an Town. The intersection of Zhongning's two tourist routes from Yinchuan to Liupanshan and Yinchuan to Shapotou is a “dry dock” that runs through the northwest and a distribution center for people, logistics and information. The products such as glutinous rice, red dates, grain and oil, melons and fruits, livestock and poultry are the production bases of Chinese glutinous rice, commercial grain and lean meat pigs. Zhongning County is also the birthplace and authentic origin of the world's cockroaches. In 1961, it was named the China 枸杞 production base county by the Ministry of Agriculture.
