Minqin Profile: Minqin County is a county containing Wuwei City. In the 17th year of the Republic of China, the county was named after the “pure style, the people are diligent”. Minqin County is located in the northeastern part of the Hexi Corridor. In the lower reaches of the Shiyang River Basin, except for the southwest corner, which is connected with Jinchang and Liangzhou Districts, the rest is surrounded by the Tengger and Badain Jaran Deserts.
