Funing Profile: Funing County is a county in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province. During the period of the Republic of China, Funing County was established. Because of the Yuan Dynasty, it was once placed in Anning State, and then the Anning State was merged into Fuzhou, hence the name. Funing County is located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, south of Vietnam and Hejiang Province, and the east and the north are adjacent to Guangxi Baise Youjiang, Xilin, Tianlin, Napo, Jingxi five counties (districts), west and Wenshan of Wenshan Prefecture. The two counties of Malipo are connected. In the junction of the three provinces and ten counties of the two countries, the national highway 323 runs through the county and is an important gateway for Yunnan to coastal areas such as Guangxi and Guangdong. In 2013, Funing County achieved a regional GDP of 5.937 billion yuan, of which the first industry completed an added value of 1.787 billion yuan, the secondary industry completed an added value of 2.071 billion yuan, and the tertiary industry realized an added value of 2.079 billion yuan. As of 2013, the number of members in Funing County was 5,352 square kilometers, including 13 townships; the household registration was 418,259 and there were 6 ethnic groups.
