Shuangbai Introduction: Shuangbai County is a county containing Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. It was built in the Western Han Dynasty and was originally in Yizhou County. It includes the Yimen, Shuangbai County and the northwestern region of Xinping County. In the hinterland of Langzhong, east of Ailao Mountain, 58 kilometers away from Chuxiong, the state capital, and 210 kilometers away from Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province. In 2011, Shuangbai County administers 5 towns and 3 townships, 84 village committees, 1,540 villager groups, and 1,845 natural villages, 4045 square kilometers. There is no square dam complete Pingba in Shuangbai County, and the mountainous area accounts for 99.7% of the country. At the end of 2011, the population of Shuangbai County was 159,700, of which the agricultural population accounted for 89.2%. The territory was home to 18 ethnic groups including Han, Yi, Hui, Miao and Hani. In 2011, Shuangbai County achieved a regional GDP of 1.64 billion yuan; the total local fiscal revenue was 166.16 million yuan. In 2012, Shuangbai County was named by the Ministry of Culture as “Hometown of Chinese Folk Art” and “Hometown of Yi Culture in Shuangbai County”.
