Introduction to Jinxiu: Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County is located in Dayaoshan in the eastern part of Guangxi. It was established in May 1952 and is the earliest established Yao Autonomous County in China. As of 2009, the county's land is 2,518 square kilometers, with 3.193 million mu of forest and 14,400 hectares of cultivated land. As of 2009, the county's administrative divisions administer 3 towns, 8 townships, 80 village committees (including street committees), 147,300 people, and there are 11,45 million ethnic minorities such as Yao, Zhuang, Miao and Yi, among which Yao nationality accounts for 34.4% of the county, Zhuang 43.7 %, other ethnic groups accounted for 21%. Jinxiu is a multi-ethnic city with Yao culture as its carrier. It is known as the “Yaoxia Yaodu”. In 2001, the gross domestic product was 441.47 million yuan, the local fiscal revenue was 27.46 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1350 yuan. The main tourist attractions in the county include Lianhua Mountain, Shengtang Mountain, Luohan Mountain, Banxian Canyon, Huawang Mountain Villa, Primeval Forest Resort and Yinshan Park. Important mineral resources are barite, silicon, granite, colored marble, copper, gold and iron. Local products include Ling vanilla, star anise, Gynostemma pentaphyllum, yellow bamboo shoots, sweet tea, mushrooms, fungus and so on. The famous sociologist Fei Xiaotong said: "The World Yao Culture Research Center is in China, and the Chinese Yao Culture Research Center is in Jinxiu."
