Baokang Introduction: Baokang County of Hubei Province is in the northwest of Hubei Province, in the southwest of Fuyang City. It depends on Xiangfan in the east, Yichang in the south, Shennongjia in the west, and Wudang Mountain in the north. It is the only mountainous county in Fuyang City. The main vein of Jingshan is east and west. The Jingan Mountain is injected into the Han River by the Nanhe River system, and the Jushui River system south of Jingshan is injected into the Yangtze River. The name of Baokang County is “protection of the people and the recreation”. In the eleventh year of Hongzhi (AD 1498), the county was established, and it has been more than 500 years. It is the source of Chu and the birthplace of Jingchu culture. The county's territory is 3,225 square kilometers. It contains 11 townships, 257 villages and 19 communities with a population of 282,000 (2012 data). The county government resident in Chengguan Town. Baokang County is rich in natural resources and tourism resources, mainly including phosphate rock, hydropower, tourism and Linte. The famous scenic spots include Tangchixia Hot Spring and Wudaoxia scenery. In August 2011, it was included in the key poverty alleviation and development counties in the special poverty-stricken areas of Qinba Mountain, China.
