Introduction to Xixian County: Xixian County is located in the southern part of Henan Province, upstream of the Huaihe River, and is a county-level area under the jurisdiction of Xinyang City. It consists of 6 towns, 14 townships, 1 management district, 336 villages and 9 neighborhood committees. At the end of 2000, the county's population was 770,000. The terrain of Xixian County is dominated by low plains and gentle hills. The Huai River traverses the entire territory, with a domestic flow of 75.5 kilometers, which is a subtropical to warm temperate transitional climate. The specialty products of Xixian County are fragrant rice balls and honey. Tourist attractions include the Qin Dynasty ruins of the Neolithic Age and the Qinglong Temple of the Zhou Dynasty. Xixian County is the national “Ninth Five-Year Plan” commodity grain base county, Henan Province's top 100 grain production counties, and the national grain production advanced county.
