Introduction to Shangli: Shangli County is in the west of Jiangxi Province, north of Pingxiang City. It is adjacent to Yichun City and Luxi County of Jiangxi Province in the east; it is connected to the Anyuan Economic Development Zone and the Hedong Town of Xiangdong District in the south; it is bordered by Pukou and Fuli Towns in Liling City, Hunan Province; and Dayao and Wenjia in Liuyang City in the north. The city's two towns are dependent. The county is 45 kilometers long from north to south, 25 kilometers wide from east to west, and 721.11 square kilometers. 480,000 people (2011), of which 43,000 are non-agricultural. Shangli County has more than 10 kinds of minerals such as coal, lead, iron, gold, copper, sulfur, zinc, phosphorus and china clay, especially coal and china clay. The reserves of coal are over 80 million tons and the lead is 15 million tons. Shangli County was born with a firecracker ancestor Li Wei, a Jiangxi genius Liu Fengqi, a historian Li Youwei, the first provincial party secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, and a martyr Zhang Guofan. Shang Li is the “Hometown of Chinese Firecrackers and Fireworks” and “Hometown of Chinese Culture”. The hometown of Chinese folk art, and the hometown of Chinese modern folk painting.
